You might think beef tallow is just for cooking - but our Whipped Tallow Balm is something else entirely. Made in New Zealand from cosmetic-grade tallow, it is carefully refined to be pure, gentle, and easily absorbed, delivering deep hydration without a greasy feel.
Naturally rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, plus omega-3 fatty acids - it helps calm inflammation, support healing, and strengthen your skin barrier. We blend in a little jojoba oil to lock in moisture and soothe irritation, while selected essential oils add a calming touch of natural aromatherapy.
Perfect for the face, hands, and body, it softens dry patches, eases itching caused by eczema, and smooths the appearance of fine lines — leaving your skin supple, nourished, and radiant.

Warm a small amount between clean dry fingertips, then gently massage into dry or damp skin - just after a bath or shower is ideal. Apply morning and night, or whenever your skin needs extra care. A little goes a long way.
Note: This balm may firm up in cooler weather - that’s perfectly normal with real tallow. Simply warm it between your fingers and it will melt effortlessly into your skin.

What exactly is tallow balm?
A natural moisturizer made from grass-fed beef fat and oils, we use the suet from around the kidneys that is extra rich in vitamins. Tallow balm mirrors our skin’s own oils for deep absorption. Used for centuries in ancestral skincare, it delivers simple, time tested nourishment modern creams can’t match.
Does it smell beefy?
No. Our purified tallow has no strong odor. The unscented version carries a very mild, natural earthy scent, while the scented version has a nice hit of fragrance from essential oils.
Will it make my skin greasy?
No. Unlike heavy petroleum based creams, tallow balm absorbs quickly, leaving skin soft and hydrated without a greasy residue.
Can I use it on my face as well as my body?
Absolutely. It’s gentle enough for the face yet rich enough for hands, elbows, and other dry areas. Many customers love it as a night cream.
Is it safe for children or babies?
Our tallow balm is gentle, natural, and suitable for children and adults of all ages. For babies, very young children, breast feeding or pregnant we recommend only using the unscented version. A small patch test is always recommended for added peace of mind.
How long does a jar last?
A little goes a long way. Most people find a 60ml jar lasts 1–2 months, depending on use.
How should it be stored?
At room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat, and when used with clean dry hands or a scoop, your tallow balm should stay fresh for 9-12 months.
Is it good for tattoos?
Yes. Our tallow balm deeply nourishes and hydrates skin, helping to keep tattoos vibrant and well moisturized. Use the unscented version on fresh tattoos to avoid irritation from essential oils.
